The rolling hills of the Piedmont winelands make it very well suited for life's more gentle pursuits - golf, walking,
hiking, visiting spas and the like.
For golf lovers, there are four very good courses within a half hours drive of the hotel - none of which usually require
advance booking. You can nearly always just turn up and play and the green fees are extremely reasonable.
Walking and hikes are particularly popular (as are the early morning jogs for some of our keener guests!) and there is
no shortage of options - easy rambles across the fields and vineyards to more blood pumping treks up and down the hillsides.
The thermal waters at Acqui Terme, 20 minutes away, have made it a popular spa town since Roman times and there several different spas to try which take advantage of the area's natural resources.
For those who prefer their activities a little more strenuous, there are also cycling, horse riding and tennis.
Horse riding is available within 10 minutes of the hotel;
outdoor tennis courts are a 10 minute walk away and we can also arrange for indoor badminton, volleyball
and football if the mood takes you. For game hunters we can organise, in advance, in-season hunting at nearby
Bruno (although you will need to bring your own gun!). More gentle hunting pursuits for truffles and mushrooms are also very popular.
