From Asti – about 30 minutes
(See the detailed ViaMichelin directions below) If you are coming from the A21 motorway, take the Asti Est exit (be careful as there are 2
exits to Asti). After the toll booth, or if you are coming from central Asti, follow signs to Acqui Terme until, about 2 miles from Ast centre, you will see signs to
Nizza Monferrato (the SS28).
Continue to Nizza Monferrato and then follow signs to Alessandria.
You will go straight across at a roundabout (right is Acqui Terme
and left is Nizza) and continue on this road for about 5 kilometres
until you reach Bazzana. Immediately before the railway line, turn
right towards Casalotto.
Continue on this road, past the sign ‘Casalotto’, until about 100
metres before the town (and just after a road sign with the number '2'),
La Villa is to your right, with two yellow pillars
and a private drive to the house.
From Acqui Terme – about 20 minutes
From Acqui Terme follow signs to Alessandria and the S.S. N.456.
You will pass Alice bel Colle and Castel Rocchero before
passing an API petrol station on your right-hand side, immediately
followed (70 metres later) by a crossroads.
Take the right turn towards Fontanile and Mombaruzzo and continue
on this road for about 4 minutes until Casalotto is sign-posted to
the left. Take this road and continue to the top where you will come
to a junction with the main road. Turn left and La Villa is 100
metres further on your left. |

FROM GENOA, MILAN AND TURIN AIRPORTS, OR BY TRAIN
If you are planning to fly to Italy, the best way to get to La
Villa is with a hire car. There are trains, but there are no direct
connections close to La Villa.
If you do wish to travel by train, please let us know so that we
can advise on train times and connections and we can meet you at the
station.
If you do choose to hire a car, our experience has been that
auto-europe.co.uk offer competitive prices, but this is only our
experience, not a recommendation.
Genova (Genoa) or Turin (Torino) airports are usually the easiest
airports to use. Bergamo can be quite challenging! Ryanair offers
several daily flights from Stansted and is often the cheapest,
although BA and Easyjet also regularly offer very good prices from
the U.K.
