Directions to La Villa

With great Piemontese wines available for every season, occasion, and budget we have made it our mission to showcase the local producers as well as the local grape varietals. We simply love the wines of this area. So to show them off without getting completely carried away, we have stuck to a few simple guidelines which means that every wine on our list has to earn its place.

We concentrate on the best regarded wines - for the reds this means Barolo, Barbaresco and Barbera, and for the whites, Gavi, Arneis and Moscato. However, we also believe in supporting some of the lesser known wines, so there will hopefully be a few surprises for even the most seasoned lovers of region.

All our wines are individually selected which typically means is that we have been to the wineries, met the producers, tasted their wines and enjoyed them.

The wines we serve are ready to drink. So, although for white wines, we normally serve the most recent vintages, our reds are normally cellared for a number of years before making their way onto the list.

Finally, we never buy a wine we don’t like. This means our list is not just a who’s who of the great, but also contains a few hidden gems.
